General Caine - Shake (Slynk Redrum 2012) A fan from Brazil asked me today on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/evanslynk) about a redrum I did of this song about 4 years ago. I had a listen back to it and it sounded pretty crummy haha! I thought I'd spend this morning redoing it and put it up as a little free download for the weekend :) For the nerds: It is a really hard track to redrum but I like a challenge. I had to do some really careful warping because the track had so much human error in it and I had to make sure every snare and kick was squared up so that when I applied a side chain compression to duck the original drums everything sat nicely. In the original track there is this horribly loud reverb on the drums which made the low end sound really muddy. I did my best to take it out using a noise removal tool with a profile of the reverb on the snare which I managed to grab at the more minimal section of the track.
